|Description: ||The Daegal Legends: The land of Daegal is a place of endless potential and possibilities, but it is not where your story began. You grew up on the mainland, also known as Alegra, which is a large island that hosts the majority of the world's population. In a world of a thousand tiny islands, Alegra has always been regarded as our only continent, until Daegal showed up, that is. You see, the mainland has served us well, but over time each of the many people groups began to grow and spread, depleting the land’s resources. Every available piece of land quickly began to fill up and space began to run out. The lands had been peaceful for some time due to several powerful leaders all being equally afraid of each other. However, as populations grew and the available space dwindled, the horizon darkened with the signs of the coming war. Alegra was on the brink of disaster, and then, like a gift from the earth itself, Daegal showed up; a distraction from the chaos. The land mass appeared smack in the middle of what was known as the Lonely Ocean. Out of nowhere, a new continent appeared when we needed it the most. At first, scouting parties were sent to this new frontier, and Daegal showed signs of abundant resources, lost civilizations, and ancient magic. When word got back, the mad dash to the new land began. Suddenly everyone was scrounging up the limited resources they had to find a way to get to Daegal. Hundreds of people of all different races and species flocked to the continent, but as the Treeks often say, "You mustn't plant seed until earth is fertilized." The first colony was unprepared for the mysteries of Daegal. Three days after the land was colonized (and we're talking a cluster of several hundred tents) we lost all contact. Upon investigation, the colony was found to be completely abandoned; not a soul in sight. Stranger still, there was no blood and there were no signs of struggle. Everyone was just gone. The second group took more precautions in their attempt. Only the bravest souls ventured to the new land in hopes to escape the coming war. They built a new colony by day and slept in their ships by night. Once the new base was built, the colonists moved in and stayed safe behind the tall palisade of spiked tree trunks that surrounded them. They never did figure out what had happened to the first group of colonists, but nothing of the sort has happened since. You and your companions are among those brave people now living in the second colony on Daegal. With the war behind you, you know it is only a matter of time for it to consume this new found land as well. Will the mysteries of the new land bring hope to this war-torn world, or will you fight your way through the wilderness to finally find safety for you and your people? Explore this mysterious new land and you may just go down in history as one of the Daegal Legends.
